Jharokha

The beautiful state of Rajasthan in India is famous for its architectural beauty. A Jharokha is a small window in a traditional home of Rajasthan. But Jharokha is not just a window, for its also an eye of the woman who uses it to look outside to view the world. In these paintings I want to show the beauty of this eye and wish to make the viewer think of the feelings the eyes might have... while she is waiting in anticipation.

Fruits and Wine

Mother nature has blessed us with a lot of gifts and this painting is depicting a handful of those. The inspiration for this painting came from my husband, who avoided fruits. This painting has accomplished the goal of inspiring him to have some fruits each day. Hope it would inspire you too to have more fruits (and may be, occasionally, wine).
